Deep Trekker Announces Exclusive Live Demonstrations at Oceanology International 2016 in London
Ayr, Ontario Canada – February 12, 2016 – Deep Trekker Inc. announced today that they will be bringing their 250 gallon demo tank to offer live demonstrations of their mini-Remotely Operated Vehicles at Oceanology International 2016 in London from March 15-17. Anyone looking to try out the underwater drone is invited to stop by stand E600 to experience for themselves how easy exploring the underwater world is with their underwater ROV.
Deep Trekker provides fully portable, highly maneuverable and affordable ROVs to inspect underwater infrastructure, props, hulls and hard to reach places. Deep Trekker will be showing off both their DTG2 models and DTX2 ROV that was designed with offshore work in mind. Based on the proven DTG2 platform currently being used around the world in industries such as aquaculture, environmental monitoring, port security and more, the DTX2 provides ultimate stability with a best in class 24 lbs vectored thruster design. The DTX2 is depth rated to 1000 feet or 305 meters to better serve the oceanographic and offshore markets looking to efficiently complete inspections without diver intervention.
Oceanology International is the premiere event for ocean technology and offshore surveying where highly capable, portable and robust remotely operated vehicles (ROV) are in great demand. “We are so excited to show off the Deep Trekkers at OI and demonstrate how robust they really are,” commented Sam Macdonald, Deep Trekker President. “We are bringing the 250 gallon water tank so that we can provide everyone with the chance to fully experience driving our ROV.”
Deep Trekker will also be sharing news about their newest innovation: the Diveable Control System. Compatible with both Deep Trekker DTG2 and DTX2 ROVs, the Diveable Control System allows divers to control the ROV from below the water while on a dive. The idea behind it is to offer divers a way to scope out new areas before venturing closer. This product has received tremendous positive feedback from commercial divers working in the offshore industry as it gives divers the ability to control the ROV from below the water. In turn, this combination provides the perfect balance of human judgement when assessing a situation while still keeping the diver away from immediate danger.
