Recreational boating and underwater discovery just got simpler with the DTG2 remotely operated vehicle

The waters of the Persian Gulf are famed for colourful indigenous habitat, unique marine life and sunken treasure. Exploring the depths of the Gulf has long been a joy of boating enthusiasts, and Deep Trekker is excited to offer a way to investigate these waters from the comfort and ease of a luxury yacht, boat or sailing vessel.

From February 26 to March 2, Deep Trekker will present its submersible, remotely operated vehicle (ROV) – the DTG2 – at the Dubai International Boat Show, offering a unique way to experience the underwater world of the Persian Gulf.

The 2019 Dubai International Boat Show (DIBS), located on the Dubai Canal, welcomes yacht owners and boating enthusiasts from around the world, to launch innovation and design, as the Middle East continues to grow with opportunity in this industry.

“We are thrilled to be returning to Dubai this year for the annual Boat Show,” says Sam MacDonald, President, Deep Trekker Inc. “Our team is excited to showcase the innovative technology and design of the DTG2 – developed to work with superyacht luxury to amplify marine enthusiasts’ passion for underwater discovery in Dubai.”

Deep Trekker will platform its flagship product – the DTG2 – equipped with an Ultra HD Camera for capturing high quality footage below the waves. The camera is easy to use, with live, zero latency viewing on the handheld controllers, and the ability to record the dive experience in 4K resolution. Switch to photo mode to snap photos up to 18 megapixels with the 270 degree rotating camera housed inside the ROV.

With depth ratings of 150 meters, the DTG2 ROV is the perfect system for underwater exploration in the Persian Gulf and for inspections around boat hulls and docks. The sensors allow operators to easily determine the depth and heading of the ROV once it is underwater and out of sight. With onboard batteries and up to 8 hours of battery life, the handling of an ROV on a luxury boat has never been more simple – and the ocean has never been more accessible for the marine enthusiasts who love to explore its depths.

Deep Trekker welcomes those interested in a live demo to visit us at booth D-130.
