Deep Trekker to Showcase the DTG2 ROV at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show
AYR, ONTARIO, CANADA October 15, 2012. Deep Trekker today announced that they will introduce their premiere product, the DTG2 micro Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) to the boating and yachting market at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. The show, which runs from October 25-29 in several locations on the waterways of Fort Lauderdale, is the largest consumer and trade show of its kind.
Deep Trekker will exhibit in the Shipbuilders Tent at Bahia Mar, the site of the super yachts and related tools, services, and accessories. The DTG2, as the most capable ROV in its class, will be marketed as both a tool and a toy.
The ROV can be used in the yachting market for hull inspections, propeller maintenance, trouble shooting, investigating moorings, and more. With its 480 line camera feed, boat owners can plug it into the yacht TV and check out reefs, shipwrecks, and ocean flora and fauna from the comfort of their living quarters. To go fully portable, the DTG2 can be used with digital glasses offered by Deep Trekker for exploring from the dock or tender.
“The DTG2 is the ultimate yacht accessory,” says Deep Trekker president Sam Macdonald. “It’s a entertaining and educational toy for owners and guests, as well as a useful tool for captains and deckhands.”
With onboard batteries, the DTG2 is fully self-contained, with no need for external power, topside box, or other installations. Deploying in less than 30 seconds, the Deep Trekker DTG2 goes from its case to the reef or wreck in no time at all.
