Deep Trekker Showcasing Underwater Drones at Underwater Intervention 2016

Ayr, Ontario Canada - January 29, 2016 - Today Deep Trekker announced that they will be showcasing their new Diveable Control System at Underwater Intervention 2016 in New Orleans. The show runs from February 23-26 and is one of the most popular shows among professionals in the commercial diving industry.

Deep Trekker will have their ROVs and Diveable Control System at booth 407 for everyone to see. Deep Trekker has built a tool that allows ROVs to be used in conjunction with divers to improve the safety of those in the water during a dive.

The new Diveable Control System is designed to allow divers to take the ROV below the water with them and control it while diving. After speaking with professionals in the industry Deep Trekker determined that the tool is the perfect way to use ROVs in conjunction with divers. Whether a diver is exploring a new area and wants to assess the situation before venturing further or they are doing inspections near the trash racks and/or travelling screens in a nuclear power plant, the Diveable control system gives divers the ability to control the ROV from below the water. In turn, this combination provides the perfect balance of human judgement when assessing a situation while still keeping the diver away from immediate danger.

In addition to showing off their new product, Deep Trekker will have their various ROV packages and a 200 gallon water tank to offer anyone the ability to pilot the ROV. Stop by booth 407 to give it a try and see all of the amazing products yourself.

"Commercial divers put their lives at risk everyday," commented Sam Macdonald, Deep Trekker President. "With the new diveable control system, divers can remain a safe distance while they send in the ROV to hazardous or contaminated areas."
