Expeditionary SPECTRA ROV

High-intensity LEDs support the rotating stereo camera, capturing full resolution 12 MP images and 4K video even in low visibility for 3D modeling, dimensional analysis, and year on year volumetric comparisons.

Generate real-time point clouds, providing 3D mapping and spatial awareness for more effective inspections even in high turbidity water. Track coverage, monitor assets, and support repeatable survey operations over time.

SPECTRA features a fully integrated, factory-calibrated rotating stereo 4K camera system operating up to 60 fps, paired with a high-output 300,000 lumen lighting array that dynamically tracks camera orientation. Unlike bolt-on stereo skids used in many systems, SPECTRA’s stereo vision is integrated directly into the vehicle architecture, preserving balanced handling characteristics.

Seven independently controlled, oil-compensated brushless thrusters (4 vectored, 3 vertical) deliver 40 kg thrust and unmatched lateral movement up to 3 knots, enabling precise station-keeping and unprecedented maneuverability in strong currents.

SPECTRA is powered directly through its tether, providing continuous operation. Bottom-side accessory ports supply up to 48 VDC at 1,000W for additional tools or sensors. Gigabit Fibre-enabled communications ensure reliable control and data delivery for long-duration inspections & surveys.

SPECTRA is built with a combination of HDPE, carbon fiber, stainless steel, and buoyancy foam, creating a durable and lightweight structure for demanding subsea operations.
