Deep Trekker has now integrated the TriTech MicronNav USBL Position System to intuitively track and position your Deep Trekker ROV when it is underwater. Understanding where the Deep Trekker Remotely Operated Vehicle is when it disappears into the water is one of the most challenging parts of piloting an ROV. With this solution, you can easily track where the ROV has gone and where it is.
The TriTech MicronNav USBL Position System has been specifically designed for small ROVs like the Deep Trekker product line. The MicronNav “Transponder” device responds to acoustic interrogation from the USBL head mounted to the Deep Trekker ROV to provide on screen positioning of the ROV along with a snail trail of where it has traveled.
The USBL Positioning system has a range of 500 meter horizontally and 150 meter vertically, using a 20-28 kHz.
The dunking transducer can provide a 180 degree coverage, allowing for tracking even in shallow water. Omni-directional coverage is provided by the MicronNav ROV Transponder or Responder.
Easily overlay maps to geo reference such as Google Maps to show real world position of the ROV, multiple charts or maps can be pre-loaded easily.
