The NetFix Patching System, designed by Underwater Contracting Ltd (UCO), is a cutting-edge, semi-permanent solution to address containment breaches in fish farm nets. Compatible with Deep Trekker’s PIVOT ROVs, NetFix allows operators to quickly and securely patch small holes without the need for divers. Each patch is equipped with spring-loaded pegs at the corners, ensuring a firm hold on the netting even in challenging underwater conditions. The system is available in standard (200mm x 200mm) and large (240mm x 240mm) patch sizes, accommodating different hole dimensions, and is made from eco-friendly, recyclable TPU material. The patches are designed to stay in place until planned maintenance can be performed, either by a dive team or when the net is raised, providing peace of mind and effective containment.
With an installation frame that easily mounts to the PIVOT ROV, NetFix requires no specialized equipment beyond the ROV itself, making it a highly accessible solution for fish farm operators. The frame allows the ROV to apply patches with a push force capacity of up to 30 kg, giving operators confidence in its reliability. The NetFix system also includes 4 pegs per patch, optimized to fit the specific netting requirements of most fish farms.
