Deep Trekker to attend Water Environment Association of Canada (WEAO) in London, Ontario. The company’s ROVs provide regular inspections to water tanks to ensure clean drinking water and viable solutions to global water challenges - in support of Water for People Nonprofit.
The global water cycle is facing many challenges as the demand for water increases - mainly due to a growing population, emerging economies and changes in consumption patterns. On April 15 to 17, Deep Trekker will attend Water Environment Association of Canada (WEAO) in London, Ontario to demonstrate its fully submersible, remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and discuss innovative solutions to help combat water issues for various industries in Canada and around the world.
Climate change is a key contributor to the water challenges we encounter and as it intensifies - dry areas become drier and wet areas become wetter - we need to find solutions to mitigate the risks that arise as a result. Over 5 billion people could be affected by water shortages by 2050. Deep Trekker understands the importance and need for clean, accessible water and continues to provide affordable, effective and sustainable solutions to monitor, protect and preserve our supply to ensure sustainable development.
“Deep Trekker’s mission is simple. We are innovators who understand the importance of our natural resources and we look to tackle water issues that surround us by utilizing our robotic systems,” says Sam Macdonald, President, Deep Trekker Inc. “With our fully submersible crawlers, we have the opportunity to help municipalities and contractors resolve inefficiencies that may otherwise go unnoticed and in turn contribute to solution-based ideas to combat water challenges.”Deep Trekker ROVs offer frequent routine inspections at an affordable price. Its portable, compact design and onboard battery source allows operators to deploy within seconds. In addition, generators and additional power supplies are not required within a treatment facility, allowing for a highly efficient inspection.
