The more we know about commercial diving and the underwater environment divers enter, the easier it is to prepare for and mitigate the risk. Deep Trekker ROVs are an essential tool in ensuring a higher level of diver safety.
Commercial Divers are sought out for a variety of underwater work, from straight forward inspections to complicated tasks requiring the manipulation of underwater tools. Each job has a unique set of requirements and a variety of occupational safety and health hazards such as respiratory and circulatory risks, hypothermia, low visibility, and physical injury from the operation of heavy equipment under water.
The type, length and frequency of the dive increase the already high risk of strenuous work. Certain jobs are simply not completed because they are not safe to dive. In other instances, peace of mind could be offered by getting eyes under the water before sending down the team of divers. It is this line of thinking that has lead many commercial divers to investigate adding an ROV to their operations.
Our commercial diving customers have found that by adding an ROV to their crew, the benefits are far beyond their expectations. They are able to save time on the job, save themselves and their clients money, keep diver safety a top priority and grow the business by offering inspections that previously could not be completed.
Our commercial divers are exploring new inspection work such as but not limited to;
Hydro Dams & Intake Gate Inspections
Offshore Oil Platform Inspections
Salvage and Shipwreck Hunting
