What is the ROV depth rated to?

What is the ROV made out of?

Die-cast aluminum anodized and powder coated for extreme durability in salt and fresh water.

How is the ROV powered?

We have designed a completely portable system by putting lithium ion batteries inside the ROV and controller. With batteries on-board, there is no power going down the tether, reducing the diameter and potential drag or need to bring along a generator to your dive site.

How long do the batteries last?

Our DTG3 models work up to 8 hours. For a typical inspection, you will likely get a full day’s work from one battery charge. The REVOLUTION also operates up to 6 hours. With lithium ion batteries, there is no harm in giving your ROV a quick charge before your dive, you do not need to drain the batteries completely and then recharge completely.

What kind of camera is used?

Our ROVs have a full colour 700 HD camera, designed for low light with 0.001 lux. The camera rotates around the entire body of the ROV 270 degrees. Allowing you to look up, down, behind as you drive the ROV. You can also upgrade the internal camera to 4K recording.

Does the controller record the footage?

We offer a digital video recorder that plugs into the back video out port on the controller and records all footage onto an SD card. It’s about the size of a deck of cards and can fit in your pocket as you’re working. The optional internal 4K camera requires no additional equipment to record.

Does the unit include lights?

There is a LED flood light that tracks with the camera inside the unit. The DTG3 models can be outfitted with our auxiliary lights (two additional LEDs), while the REVOLUTION ROV comes equipped with 4 fixed auxiliary lights standard. ROV Doing underwater exploration

How does this camera do in dark and murky water?

The camera is a low light 0.001 lux camera with a LED flood light. So it does just as well as a diver would in the water. You would be surprised how well you can see once the ROV is underwater.
