AYR, ONTARIO, CANADA March 26th 2015. Deep Trekker announced today they will be in Southampton, UK to launch their newest line of ROVs at Ocean Business 2015 at stand C2. The show, which runs from April 14th – 17th is the premiere event for ocean technology and offshore surveying where highly capable, portable and robust remotely operated vehicles (ROV) are in great demand.
With this opportVectored ROVunity, Deep Trekker is pleased to announce their new line of ROVs, the DTX2 which are specifically engineered with offshore surveying in mind. Based on the proven DTG2 platform currently being used around the world in industries such as aquaculture, environmental monitoring, port security and more, the DTX2 provides ultimate stability with a best in class 24 lbs vectored thruster design. The DTX2 is depth rated to 1000 feet or 305 meters to better serve the oceanographic and offshore markets looking to efficiently complete inspections without diver intervention.
The design of the flagship product the DTG2 ROV and the new DTX2, incorporate the patented Deep Trekker pitching for greater maneuverability compared to traditional ROVs. Visitors can experience the difference themselves by piloting the ROVs in Deep Trekker’s 200 gallon water tank, which will be on stand C2. “Ocean Business was selected as the ideal event to continue the launch for the DTX2 due to the wide range of industry professionals from maritime defense, environmental monitoring, ports and harbours, renewable energy and oceanographic surveying attending the show,” commented Sam Macdonald, Deep Trekker President. “Many of these industries have been slow to adopt mini ROVs because of the traditional complexity and cost; but now with the introduction of the DTX2 we are removing the barriers to owning a powerful ROV by providing an easy to use, portable, and affordable solution.” Deep Trekker will be located at stand C2 giving anyone the chance to pilot the Deep Trekker remotely operated vehicle and showcasing the absolute ease of use and unmatched maneuverability of Deep Trekker systems. It is an event you won’t want to miss.
