New Research Vessel for Deep Trekker Team
Amanda Coulas | June 20, 2016
Today marks a new era for Deep Trekker. We have officially launched our very own research vessel, appropriately named “Deep Trekker”. We could not be more excited to take on this next adventure, and are looking forward to sharing the findings of our many expeditions this summer.
So far we have inspected our hull with the DTG2 ROV and did some testing of the TriTech Gemini 720is multibeam sonar. Throughout the summer, we plan to explore and map some known and unknown shipwrecks in the Great Lakes.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all of our plans and findings as they are available, stay tuned to our blog for the latest news!
Where is your favourite place in the Great Lakes region? Let us know, we’d love to make a trip and discover some new areas in our own back yard.
If you’re not from Ontario, we’d still love to hear where your favourite Deep Trekker or diving spot is, share in the comments below.
