Discover how DeepTrekker underwater robots are making waves with clean technology and innovative, environmental solutions. The remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) on display at the AANS Sea Farmers Conference 2018 in Halifax, Canada.
As Deep Trekker prepares to present its aquaculture inspection technologies at the AANS Seafarmers Conference in Halifax, Nova Scotia on January 25-26th, the company looks to make innovations that can be adopted as part of the Fisheries and Aquaculture Clean Technology Adoption Program recently announced by the Department of Fisheries and Oceans.
Deep Trekker underwater inspection systems were developed and refined over the past 7 years to support the aquaculture community in achieving these goals with their underwater ROV. Now more than ever before, underwater robots are making it possible to protect the environment, giving fish farmers eyes under the waves and allowing them to monitor water conditions effectively.
“We are thrilled to have worked with our customers in the aquaculture industry, to create underwater inspection systems, that are aligned with the clean technology initiatives of Fisheries and Oceans Canada,” says Sam MacDonald, President, Deep Trekker Inc. “The DTG3 ROV gives aquaculture farmers the ability to continually inspect their underwater assets, and safely keep track of ecological impacts on fish and habitat.”
Ask us about ROVs and get your fish farm a convenient inspection option on hand
Depth rating of 150 meters, the DTG3 ROV is the perfect system for underwater inspections and best for navigating around fishing farms. The sensors allow operators to easily establish the temperature of the water and determine the depth and heading of the ROV once it is underwater and out of sight. With onboard batteries and 6-8 hours of battery life, fish farmers never have to worry about lugging around multiple cases or generators on site. Its internal rotating HD camera is also proven to help complete inspection faster. It is built to quickly sweep large areas, and hold its camera orientation while inspecting a certain area in detail.
Join us at Sea Farmers 2018 in Halifax - we’ll be at booth #7 with our ROVs and welcome you to test drive them yourself.
