Shannon Regan | January 2, 2018
University of Waterloo engineering students have the opportunity to interact with Deep Trekker submersible robots and listen to our industry experts.
University of Waterloo Career & Info Session with Deep TrekkerOn Thursday, January 4th, Deep Trekker invites graduating engineer students to participate in the Co-operative Education & Career Action info session at the University of Waterloo. As the leader in global innovation, Deep Trekker is your complete manufacturer for high-quality Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs), also known as underwater drones. With innovative and disciplined engineering design, Deep Trekker has experienced continued success and growth since its beginning in 2010.
Engineer students are invited to join Deep Trekker for an informational and interactive session with our line of underwater ROV products. We encourage students to speak to our experts and immerse themselves in the wonders of Deep Trekker’s many capabilities.
Built to withstand the hard ocean environments, we offer an extensive selection of submersible robots with camera depths of 300-metres. If you’re interested in learning more, Deep Trekker will feature the following products this Thursday:
DTG2 ROV / Underwater Drone
The DTG2 is a commercial grade mini ROV. Although small, its design is extremely rugged, robust and capable and has been adopted worldwide as the go-to underwater observation tool for inspections in tough underwater environments. Its internal HD camera allows for a 330-degree field of view to inspect below, above, behind or in front of you, and see the live feed directly in your hand-held controller up to 150-metres in depth.
DT340 Pipe Crawler
The DT340 provides ideal traction for inspecting wet or dry pipes. With internal, rechargeable batteries that last up to 8 hours, the DT340 pipe crawler provides the portability you need to deploy from anywhere. The CCTV vehicle can tackle a multitude of remote inspections and is submersible up to 50-metres.
DT640 Utility Crawler
The DT640 is the first three-wheeled, versatile inspection vehicle of its kind. With skidless steering, zero turning radius, and underwater-proofing up to 50-metres, this Utility Crawler is capable of performing a wide array of tasks which makes it easy and efficient to deploy. The DT640 is also equipped with a high-quality camera, magnetic wheels, and a multitude of application-specific add-ons.
