Ayr, Ontario Canada – October 27, 2015 - Deep Trekker Inc. announced today that they will be offering live demonstrations of their underwater remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) at Europort 2015 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands November 3-6. Anyone interested in learning how to easily and regularly inspect their submerged infrastructure and ship hulls are invited to visit booth 6723 for their personal demo.
The team will be showcasing how the portable solution is a vital asset to shipping port, giving individuals the ability to inspect their hulls and infrastructure at any moment, first hand, and without a diver or the need for dry-docking.
With increased travel between countries, the need for port security and regular hull inspections is vital to ensuring safe and efficient ocean shipping. With tools such as the Deep Trekker ROVs, both vessel owners and port security can inspect hulls and other underwater infrastructure at a moment’s notice to ensure the integrity of the vessel as well as security of the ports.
“Traditionally, in order to perform accurate hull inspections the ships were pulled out of the water, a process called dry-docking” commented Sam Macdonald, Deep Trekker President “We have delivered a small, affordable, and easy to use tool that allows vessel owners to perform their inspections without lifting the ship out of the water, saving both time and money.”
Deep Trekker will be at booth 6723, with their remotely operated vehicles and test tank, and will be offering attendees the chance to pilot the ROV themselves. The team will be there to show attendees how to operate the mini-ROV system and answer any questions attendees may have.
With a high-definition camera, 270 degree camera rotation, and easy maneuverability, Deep Trekker ROVs have been breaking down the barriers that are associated with ROV hull inspections. Due to the vehicle’s small size, verifying hull integrity has never been easier and can be performed by a single inspector.
